MTS Christmas Program

Review:
MTS organized a free event for all MTS Members - The
program started with our MTS Santa Claus ( Mr.
Surendran) taking pictures with kids, followed by
fancy dress competition by kids. Jodi porutham
organized by Mrs. Karpagam Purushotham was enjoyed
by all participants and audience. The dumb charades
tickled our funny bone. The program ended with
dinner feast prepared by Suvai Restaurant. |

MTS Kallakkal Deepavali
3:00PM – 10:00PM, Clawson High School

Review:
A grand function was organized by MTS for the
Deepavali festival, about 670 audience filled the
auditorium and enjoyed the variety programs,
sumptuous dinner prepared by Udipi and light music
programs. Please read the review of this program in
the December Thendral Magazine. |

MTS Summer Picnic

Review:
MI tamil sangams summer picnic was brought back this
year after a 4 year hiatus. This picnic was a grand
success with about 140 participants at the
Kensington metro park, other than a brief rain
shower the weather was great for lots of outdoor
activities and games for all ages including
tug-of-war, lemon and spoon, hopping race and water
balloons. There was plenty of food lunch boxes
available for the hungry participants. The evening
ended with a competitive game of paattukku paattu of
men vs women - of course the women team won. |

MTS Tamil New Year Drama
2PM – 5PM, Birmingham Little Groves Theater, Birmingham, MI
Review:
A grand gala production “ BRAHMARISHI “ – A classical drama , directed by Dr. Venkatesan and acted by our own tamil sangam members was staged on May 10th, 2009. The cast and crew, with elaborate stage settings took us back to the historical age, and enacted the epic sage’s life events in front our eyes. Michigan Tamil sangam conferred the title “ MICHIGAN NADAGA KAVALAR” to Dr.venkatesan at the end of the program. |

Easter Egg Hunt - MTS Youth Committee Organized Event
2PM- 4PM Jaycee park, Troy, MI
Review:
Organized by enthusiastic MTS Youth Committee, this event was a treat to the kids. In spite of slow start due to rain, the event was a great success with various competitions and games for the kids egg hunt, lemon & spoon, balloons, Frisbee and volleyball. All the participants and organizers had fun!
